Miami Beach, FL – The City of Miami Beach will open its first dog park that relies entirely on artificial turf instead of grass. The grand opening will take place on Friday, Feb. 28 at 9 a.m.

“Belle Isle’s new dog park is a game-changer for pet owners in Miami Beach,” shared Miami Beach City Commissioner Laura Dominguez. “Artificial turf provides a cleaner, safer, and more durable surface for dogs to play on while eliminating the need for harmful pesticides and fertilizers. This project is a testament to our commitment to enhancing public spaces for both residents and their four-legged companions.”

In addition to the artificial turf, the Belle Isle facility will incorporate a new irrigation system for daily cleaning. The park has also been upgraded with new fencing, benches as well as trash and recycling bins. Belle Isle Bark Park is located across the street from 11 Island Avenue.
