Composition
The Parks and Recreational Facilities Board shall be comprised of thirteen (13) voting members:
Seven (7) direct appointments made by the Mayor and each Commissioner.
Six (6) At-Large appointments as follows:
One (1) member who has demonstrated a high degree of interest, participation and/or expertise in the sport of golf; and
One (1) member who has demonstrated a high degree of interest, participation and/or expertise in the sport of tennis.
Two (2) members who have demonstrated a high degree of Interest, participation, and/or expertise in youth recreational programs.
One (1) member who has demonstrated a high degree of interest, participation and/or expertise in the sport of soccer.
One (1) member who has demonstrated a high degree of interest, participation and/or expertise in the sport of baseball.
Members of the board shall demonstrate interest in the City's parks and recreational facilities and programs through their own participation or the participation of a member of their immediate family. Consideration should also be given to individuals who have special knowledge or background related to the field of parks and recreation.
